As the holiday season approaches, Shannon, Steven, and I decided to make a wine run today. Our first stop was Montezuma Winery. Montezuma produces a Cranberry Bog, which I love to use in my marinades.
Back in the car to the Frank J. Ludovico Sculpture Trail in Seneca Falls. The image above is from a ghost cache (GCB546 – It’s A Wonderful Life) on the bridge famous for the inspiration of the holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life”. Parking for the trail is located at Bridge and Canal Street.
The images below are of some of the pieces found along the trail.
Also located on the trail was a multi-cache (GCABBD – A Tribute to the Ladies). This was a great group effort to find this caches.
After completing the trail, we opted for a little lunch and ended up finding a hidden gem. The Downtown Deli had a great selection of gourmet sandwiches with creative names. I went for the “Grinder”. Shannon opted for the Zuzu and Steve decided on the Drama Queen — I know what you’re thinking 🙂 All of us enjoyed our sandwiches. This will be a must stop next time we’re in town.
The final leg of the trip was a stop at Buttonwood Grove Winery. This is one of our favorites. Check out the Trillum Gold and the Blush. A nice way to spend a fall afternoon — and back in time for the opener for the SU Men’s Basketball team!
