Changing Seasons in Baltimore

What is it that they say about the weather in New York … wait an hour and it will change?  Well, our hike at Baltimore Woods covered the gambit.  Shannon, Steven and I headed out from Liverpool around 1:30pm and pulled into Baltimore Woods Nature Center around 2:00pm.  While on the hike we went from overcast, to full sun, back to overcast and ended in blowing snow.  You’ll be able to see this from some of the pictures below.

Our hike was approximately 2.4 miles in about an hour and twenty minutes — although I’m sure Steven and Shannon might have felt it took a little while longer.  An average speed of 2MPH isn’t bad considering the photos and GPS waypoints.  The Valley trail was slick in the 300′ descent and 350′ ascent on the entry, as well as the 100′ ascent heading back to the car.  Additional details and photos are posted on my Trails, Tails & Tents blog.
